The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of surface conditioning and thermocycling on the microtensile strength (μTBS) of self-adhesive composite cement on human enamel and dentine. Eighty human third molars were used as samples for this in vitro study. The crown was sawn crosswise to expose the middle coronal dentine in 40 of the teeth. The buccal surfaces of the remaining 40 teeth were trimmed to create a flat enamel area of 5 mm2. Eighty composite blocks were fabricated and cemented on the tooth surfaces using RelyX Unicem.
